ABOUT ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHARTER SCHOOL
A new approach to learning.
A school designed for the whole student.
Rocky Mountain Charter School is a public charter school bringing together strong academics, health and wellness, practical learning, and meaningful real-world experiences.
Our goal is to create an educational environment where students are challenged to think deeply, explore their interests, develop confidence, and build the knowledge and skills they need for life beyond the classroom.
FOOD, HEALTH & STUDENT WELLBEING
Healthy bodies and healthy minds support stronger learning.
RMCS recognizes the important connection between nutrition, physical wellbeing, cognitive performance, and student success. Health and wellness will be integrated into the student experience, helping students understand how everyday choices can support learning, energy, physical health, and lifelong wellbeing.
Through practical, hands-on learning, students will develop knowledge and skills related to nutrition, food preparation, healthy living, and personal wellbeing. These experiences are designed to help students make informed choices while building confidence, independence, and practical skills they can carry into adulthood.
A DISTINCTIVE APPROACH TO LEARNING
Strong academics connected to the world beyond the classroom.
Rocky Mountain Charter School is an approved K–12 public charter school in Alberta built around an interdisciplinary approach to education. Our program brings together Health & Wellness, Sustainable Agriculture, and Global Technology, creating opportunities for students to connect academic learning with practical knowledge and real-world experiences.
Students will be encouraged to question, investigate, create, collaborate, and apply what they learn across disciplines. From science and technology to agriculture, sustainability, health, and the humanities, learning is designed to build strong academic foundations while developing curiosity, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and confidence.
