Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some common questions about our health and wellness school program and the enrollment process. We aim to provide clarity and support to help you make informed decisions.

  • Is Rocky Mountain Charter School a public school?

Yes. RMCS is a publicly funded K–12 charter school. There are no tuition fees. Like other Alberta public schools, only minimal fees may apply for things like supplies or extracurricular activities.

  • When is the school expected to open?

RMCS is preparing to open in September 2025, pending final confirmation of a school facility.

  • Is registration currently open?

Yes, we are currently accepting preliminary (unofficial) registrations for Kindergarten to Grade 9. High school registration will open at a later date.

  • What does “unofficial registration” mean?

Because we are still in the process of securing a school building, all registrations submitted at this stage are considered preliminary. Once a facility is confirmed, families will be contacted to complete the official registration process.

  • How do I register my child?

Complete the registration form on our website. Be sure your email address is correct, as this is how we will contact you.

  • Does registration guarantee a spot for my child?

No. Registration does not guarantee placement. Space is limited, and a waitlist will begin once classes reach capacity.

  • What grades are currently accepting registrations?

We are accepting registration forms for Kindergarten through Grade 9 for the 2025–2026 school year. High school grades (10–12) will begin accepting registrations soon.

  • Is there a registration fee?

The registration fee is waived for the first 300 students. Any future fees will align with public school standards in Alberta.

  • Who can complete the registration form?

Only a parent or legal guardian may submit a registration form. Applications submitted by other family members will not be accepted.

  • When will I hear back about my child’s registration status?

You will receive an automatic confirmation email once your form is submitted. A member of our team will contact you once a facility is secured and official registration opens.
